The Hosting group within the Communication Sector is responsible for developing Microsoft’s Hosting industry strategy & implementing the go-to-market plans for its execution, including understanding industry trends & how they translate to MS opportu.

The responsibilities of this position include the following.
* Provides industry/solution technical requirements & architecture guidance to BGs , solution teams & partners.
* Drives Microsoft’s agenda at industry standards bodies.
* Work with BGs to create deployment guidance to accelerate adoption of new products & technologies that impact hosting business. In FY08, this would involve Windows 2008, SQL 2008, next version of .Net framework, Office, Dynamics & Softricity.
* Understand new technologies, define scenarios, define requirements & drive product groups to embrace partner hosted models as part of the product.
* Create TCO & ROI models for each scenario to demonstrate value of our offering to our hosting partners
* Incubate new technologies as pilots such as on Microsoft Office Sharepoint Server (MOSS) & Live Communication Server (LCS) & scale the deployment broadly based on results. Create whitepapers to provide guidance based on deployment pilots.
Qualifications:
* Passion, Drive for Results, Cross Group Collaboration, Strategic Thinking & Leadership, Decision Making, Dealing w/ Ambiguity
* 10+ years of experience
* Relevant hands on technical skills
* Technical skills on broad set of Microsoft Server technologies
* Good presentation skills to business & technical audience
* Business skills to understand technology & translate into business value propositions
* MS and/or MBA preferred
